SELF CARE
While Self Care can be challenging to successfully integrate in any profession, this can be exacerbated for entrepreneurs who, even with drive and focus, may go out of business. While self care can be considered nice to have versus needs to have, this is far from true. Even the best machines need maintenance, muscles cannot build without appropriate rest, if the tree is not fed there will be no fruit. Though the sauna evokes a sense of luxury, it is also a mechanism for toxic release. The entrepreneur life is often not sustainable, especially if health and self care are not prioritized.
Star
In Tarot, the Star is considered a necessary respite after the daunting, humbling, and potentially brutal “big three” of Death, Devil, and the Tower. In the spirit of the proverb “it is darkest before dawn,” the Star indicates a turning point in the journey, points of light and orientation in the dark of night. The Star is associated with healing, reflection, and guidance on the path.
Questions to consider:
- How will what you have survived support you on your path?
- How do the costs of your current prioritization, pace and workload compare to the benefits?
- How can you and your business benefit from self care and recovery?
- What consequences are you risking if you don’t pause to rest and reorient?
