CLOSURE
“The phoenix must burn to emerge” Janet Fitch
CLOSURE
The perspective, hesitation, and risk aversion of the Reluctant Entrepreneur eventually transform into the end of reluctance or the end of the entrepreneur. The entrepreneur life can be alluring to those who aren’t reluctant. However, more businesses close than stay open. Adventures that lead off cliffs need to be chosen carefully, and limits need to be set and respected to sustain the life of the entrepreneur and the business. What the entrepreneur can learn from the Reluctant Entrepreneur is when an investment is no longer viable, and to accept that not all, or even most, seeds grow and flourish. Be intentional about your choices and investments. Recognize that some paths will teach you more if they do not go where you want them to go and you, instead, shift your focus. The doors you close or are closed for you may be even more important than the ones that are open. What you integrate and change from what you learn will impact if, or how, you transform.
Death
For those new to tarot, Death can be a terrifying card to pull. For those more familiar with The Fool’s Journey, the Hanged Man is the cocoon, followed by the Death of the caterpillar before it transforms to become the butterfly. This does not mean that it is easy or painless, though it also does not mean that you need to be afraid. Make time with Death to honor what was, and mourn and what you need to mourn, so you can more fully lean into the transformation of what is next. Death understands that doors need to close before others can open. In nature and tarot, death is a natural part of the cycle. Winter will become Spring.
Questions to consider:
- What endings do you need to mourn or accept?
- What are you learning from closure?
- How are you being asked to transform?
- What other doors and windows might be open or unlocked?
